- In a bowl combine warm milk, sugar and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add the egg and melted butter and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and salt then knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the strawberry jam evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle cinnamon lightly across the filling.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
- Place the rolls into a greased baking dish.
- Cover and allow the rolls to rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- In a small bowl mix powdered sugar, milk and vanilla to create a glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
