- In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until it forms a dough-like consistency.
- Using your hands, scoop about 1 tablespoon of the Oreo mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Place the baking sheet with the truffles in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
- Remove the truffles from the refrigerator. Using a fork, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
- If desired, melt the white chocolate chips in the same manner as the semi-sweet chocolate. Use a fork or a piping bag to drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dipped truffles.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the truffles if desired.
- Return the truffles to the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, until the chocolate coating sets.
